Access to magazine brands by gender
1a) Pick three magazine brands and identify how many men and how many women reach brand reaches.
1. The week has 490,000 men who read it mainly via print. Only 391,000 women read this while 255,000 of them use print Suggesting that more people who use this magazine are men who seem to be older as many older people buy printed copies of magazines because they don't often own mobile phones.
2. Radio times has 3,465,000 men who read it and 5,277,000 women that read it. Most of this audience consists of people who read magazines on their phones. suggesting to me that this audience could consist of mostly teens. This is possibly due to the fact that it is about radio and music which is a popular topic for teens and teen girl. However it seems more men like to access this magazine via desktop and while this could be because more men own a desktop it could also support my hypothesis that many teens and young girls read this. As they are less likely to own a desktop or PC of any kind.
3.Angling times is mainly read by men as 294,000 men read it compared to the 37,000 women that read it. Also it seems that women only access this magazine through print which could mean they are of an older generation. However while print is the most common way men access the magazine. They also use other devices such as a phone which 86,000 men use.
