For the recent game Call Of Duty Cold war they used Above the line marketing through trailers that were previewed on VOD services such as Twitch, Crunchyroll and YouTube. It was also advertised using posters and bus wrappings. This was above the line marketing methods as it was advertised to the mainstream audience and the public.
Under the line marketing
However it was also advertised using below the line marketing methods as it promoted the new game within its pre existing games and its community, by sending content creators such as NoahJ456 and MrDalekJD special packages that promoted the game, having alphas and betas that allowed people to play early developed version of the game. While also having special events inside there popular game 'Warzone' It promoted the game specifically to players of the Call Of Duty franchise. Activision also market by having a joint venture with the food company Unilever and marketing the game by giving people a chance to win a copy if they buy a Pot noodle. This was used as the game and instant foods such as pot noodles are targeted to a younger demographic of teenagers and young adults. By doing this more people were inclined to by Unilever products and the game as it was mutually beneficial for both companies.
